'Rose & Geoff' invited spectator/participants to meet as equals and take on the role of the 'unrehearsed performer' and perform the 'play' to each other.
This was a collaboration between Stephen Hull and Sarah Hogarth as part of One to One performance Festival Control 25 which created an experience that involved using pre-recorded instructions to manipulate and control audience’s actions. 'Geoff & Rose' explored the first date of a real life couple from Liverpool; a date that happened in 1965 in a pub on Rice Street.
Above is an audio excerpt from the performance. This is Geoff's side of the story. Another participant in the pub would be experiencing the thoughts and memories of Rose, before coming together unexpectedly to experience the conclusion of the date together.
